One of Marilyn’s all-time favourite musicians and guests, Grammy® and Emmy Award®-winning singer, actor, and AMERICAN IDOL judge Harry Connick Jr, drops by the studio to help mark the occasion in just one of the many surprises planned for Canada’s undisputed queen of daytime. In the milestone 1,000th episode, Marilyn also reflects on her most memorable moments from the past five-and-a-half seasons.

THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW has been the most-watched Canadian lifestyle series since its debut in 2011. Now in its sixth season, more than 3.2 million Canadians watch the show each week on CTV and CTV Two.

TORONTO (June 4, 2015) – As the curtain closes on one of its most successful seasons ever, CTV unveiled today a new primetime schedule that reinforces North America’s most stable television schedule with some of next season’s most anticipated new series. Building upon a youthful foundation of Canada’s most-watched returning programming, CTV’s 2015/16 schedule will be presented by Phil King, President – CTV, Sports, and Entertainment Programming, at the #CTVUpfront celebration of conventional television today in Toronto.

Among the highlights from CTV’s 2015 fall primetime schedule:

More Hits:

  • 11 returning Top 20 hits – more than all other Canadian networks combined.
  • Returning are Canada’s #1 series and #1 comedy, THE BIG BANG THEORY; Canada’s #1 drama MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.; #1 new series, THE FLASH; and #1 Canadian series MASTERCHEF CANADA.
  • Four new dramas debut this fall, with three new dramas on deck for midseason.

  • 17 hours of simulcast, more than any other Canadian network.

TORONTO (June 3, 2015) – CTV announced today new season orders for its roster of hit original daily series. Canada’s most-watched entertainment news program ETALK receives a 14th season order, while the #1 and #2 Canadian lifestyle series in the country, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and buzzworthy talk series THE SOCIAL, are renewed for a sixth and third season respectively. All series have seen double-digit growth versus the same time last year not only with total viewers, but in all the key adult demos. The fan-favourite and advertiser-friendly series head into their new seasons this September.

TORONTO (January 27, 2015) – Bell Media marks the fifth annual Bell Let’s Talk Day tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 28) with a full day of programming to help grow the conversation and raise awareness about mental health issues. Anchored by the debut of the original one-hour documentary CLARA’S BIG RIDE at 7 p.m. ET on CTVCTV Two, and CTV GO (and available on-demand all day on CraveTV and CTV.ca), a day of special mental health-themed programming will air across Bell Media’s properties, including CTV, CTV Two, BNN, CP24, CTV News Channel, Discovery, E!, M3, Much, MTV, RDS, Space, TSN, CraveTV, and TheLoop.ca, as well as its additional digital, radio, and local TV platforms.

The day’s flagship program, CLARA’S BIG RIDE, chronicles the inspiring and emotional 110-day cycling journey across Canada by six-time Olympic medallist and long-time Bell Let’s Talk spokesperson Clara Hughes. Throughout the journey, Hughes spreads a hopeful message designed to break the silence surrounding mental illness and help create a stigma-free Canada. Up 18% with total viewers, ETALK remains Canada’s #1 entertainment news program and currently averages nearly 700,000 viewers each night. As anchors of CTV’s hit daytime lineup, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOWand THE SOCIAL are the Top 2 Canadian lifestyle series. THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW is seeing a 25% increase for its fifth season, currently averaging 274,000 viewers, while THE SOCIAL’s second season is averaging 249,000 viewers, up 61%. As all series continue to see audience growth, they also increase the advantage over their closest competitors, with ETALK leading ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT CANADA (Global) by 75% with total viewers, and THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW and THE SOCIAL more than doubling the audiences of CITYLINE (City) and THE STEVEN AND CHRIS SHOW (CBC).
