ANAHEIM (May 22, 2015) – As announced earlier today by BITTEN star Laura Vandervoort on a special, on-location edition of THE SOCIAL from Disneyland, Space confirms that it has ordered a third season of its most-watched original series ever, BITTEN. Based on the best-selling series of novels by Kelley Armstrong and produced by No Equal Entertainment, Entertainment One Television (eOne), and Hoodwink Entertainment, Season 3 sees the return of genre icon Laura Vandervoort (SMALLVILLE, Ted) as Elena Michaels; Greyston Holt (ALCATRAZ, DURHAM COUNTY) as Clayton Danvers; Greg Bryk (A History Of Violence, ROOKIE BLUE) as Jeremy Danvers; Steve Lund (BEING ERICA, HAVEN) as Nick Sorrentino, and Genelle Williams (WAREHOUSE 13) as Rachel Sutton. Viewers who have yet to join The Pack can stream BITTEN Season 1 on CraveTV right now. Season 2 of BITTEN will air on CTV Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET, beginning July 4.

Press Release: BITTEN Continues to Claim Top Spot Among Space Original Series as Season 2 Debut Captures 401,000 Viewers

TORONTO (February 19, 2015) – Final data from Numeris (BBM Canada) confirms that the Season 2 premiere of Space’s most watched original series BITTEN on February 7 attracted 401,000 viewers, building upon its Season 1 average by 16%, and ranking as the #1 Specialty program of the day. In its 9-10 p.m. ET timeslot, Space was also the #1 specialty network for A18-49 and total viewers. Viewers can catch up on Season 1 on CraveTV™. Full episodes of Season 2 are available on Space.ca, following their broadcast premiere.

In this week’s episode, “Hell’s Teeth,” (Saturday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT.), when a new threat proves to be more powerful than anticipated, both The Pack and The Coven suffer heavy losses in the confrontation.

Airing immediately following all-new episodes of BITTEN at 10 p.m. ET, INNERSPACE: AFTER BITE is the newest series from Bell Media Productions. Along with the cast, crew, and other special guests, AFTER BITE offers BITTEN fans a chance to revel in the events that just unfolded in the most recent episode. Each episode features lively discussions about revealing hints at plot twists, theories on future episodes, special segments including secrets from set, fan interaction and a weekly online poll. This week’s AFTER BITE episode welcomes Alpha Pack leader Greg Bryk (Jeremy Danvers), and a surprise guest.

BITTEN’s digital companion The Undoing, supports the storyline for the second season, delving into the rich backstory of a mysterious new character revealed in Season 2, by releasing a series of “found” materials, original photos, videos, and footage from the series. TORONTO (January 15, 2015) – The fur is about to fly on Space when Season 2 of its most-watched original drama series BITTEN, premieres SaturdayFeb. 7 at 9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT. Immediately following the Season 2 premiere of BITTEN, Space unleashes for the first-time ever its all-new, original insider series, INNERSPACE: AFTER BITE. Every Saturday night at 10 p.m. ET/11 p.m. PT, Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson, co-hosts of Space’s daily flagship entertainment show INNERSPACE, dissect each thrilling new episode of Space fans’ favourite original series. And feeding the fan frenzy for the series even more, Space is also launching The Undoing, a digital companion series for BITTEN produced by Space and interactive agency Secret Location.

Season 2 of the 10-episode, one-hour thriller sees the return of Laura Vandervoort (SMALLVILLE, Ted) as Elena, the world’s only female werewolf; Greyston Holt (ALCATRAZ, Durham County) as Elena’s passionate partner Clay Danvers; and Greg Bryk (A History Of Violence, THE BOOK OF NEGROES) as the Alpha Pack leader Jeremy Danvers.

Press Release: Space Catapults into the New Year After Most-Watched December, Ever

TORONTO (January 8, 2015) – Space audiences skyrocketed this past December – the most-watched month in the channel’s history – making it the #1 entertainment specialty channel for the key A25-54 and A18-49 demos. Drawing in an average audience of 101,000 total viewers, December 2014 saw Space’s key A25-54 demo rise 37% and jump four spots to #1. A major contributor to Space’s record-breaking month is its signature series DOCTOR WHO and the premiere of the 2014 Christmas special LAST CHRISTMAS, which drew an average audience of 792,000 viewers, making it the top broadcast on Space this broadcast year-to-date.

Other key December audience boosters were Space’s Magical Merry Marathon which featured HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN on December 27 and HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS on December 28, pulling in 510,000 and 746,000 viewers, respectively. On December 28, Space’s exclusive series THE LIBRARIANS, currently airing at Sundays at 8 p.m. ET, pulled in a series-high 675,000 viewers, making it the #2 entertainment specialty program. THE HUNGER GAMES, which aired as part of Space’s Super Team Marathon, delivered an average audience of 526,000 viewers December 29.

In January, Space blasted into the top-ranking position as the #1 entertainment specialty channel for total viewers and the key A25-54 and 18-49 demos thus far. As the new year continues, Space fans can look forward to more fantastic drama with all-new episodes of THE LIBRARIANS airing Sundays at 8 p.m. ET, as well as new seasons of fan-favourites ATLANTIS and SALEM in the spring, and the THE LAST SHIP in June. Space’s original series slate is jam-packed with returning mega-hits including BITTEN, with Season 2 premiering Saturday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. ET; Season 3 of ORPHAN BLACK, premiering Saturday, April 18 at 9 p.m. ET; and the upcoming adventure drama series KILLJOYS, slated to premiere this summer.

Bell Media revealed today that its upcoming subscription on-demand video streaming service, code-named “Project Latte,” will deliver to its subscribers the most-sought after sci-fi and fantasy-themed premium TV content in the country when it launches next month, anchored by genre hits ORPHAN BLACK and BBC’s DOCTOR WHO. In addition to revealing “Project Latte’s” Sci-Fi & Fantasy collection, Bell Media also announced today that ARROW and THE FLASH are the first titles confirmed for the service’s Superhero collection. Today’s announcements are the latest in a series of programming confirmations for Canada’s premium TV streaming service, set to launch in December.

Press Release: Bell Media Completes 2014/15 Canadian Independent Production Slate with Season 2 Order of SPUN OUT

TORONTO (June 5, 2014) – In advance of the #CTVUpfront presentation this afternoon, CTV announced today it has ordered a second season of original comedy series SPUN OUT, completing Bell Media’s English-language Canadian commissioned production slate for 2014/15 to date. The 13-episode order from Project 10 Productions comes as SPUN OUT completes its inaugural season as one of the Top 4 returning new comedy series for 2014/15.

CTV also announced today it has ordered a two-hour, spin-off special to complement the recently renewed and ratings smash MASTERCHEF CANADA. Strategically scheduled to premiere this December, MASTERCHEF CANADA: A HOLIDAY SPECIAL will position, for the first time in the world, teams of family home cooks competing against other families. The special, from Proper Television and created in collaboration with MASTERCHEF format holder Shine International, will feature home cooks of all ages.
