Review: Big Brother Canada Side Show, the dirty underbelly of television

Well Canada, we’ve reached a new low with Big Brother Canada Side Show. I don’t think I can overstate how much I HATE this show and Big Brother Canada itself. Both shows are a showcase of the worst qualities in people and society today in one neat and tidy package.

First of all I’m going to come clean and say that I didn’t subject myself to the atrocity that was Big Brother Canada, and with what I’ve seen from Big Brother Canada Side Show I was wise to do so.

Virtually everyone on Big Brother Canada (based on what I’ve seen from Side Show) comes across as fake and manufactured, which is odd considering that Big Brother Canada is a reality show and these should be real people. Then again, is anything real on reality TV? Nearly all of the contestants are obnoxious, self-centred, insufferable, vile human beings that will (or should) strike terror into you. It’s horrifying that people like this walk the face of the earth, not only that but these sociopaths are paraded on TV as if they’re normal.
