TORONTO (November 24, 2015) – TSN is Canada’s home for the country’s biggest party: the 103rd GREY CUP presented by Shaw. This year’s CFL championship game features the Edmonton Eskimos vs. the Ottawa Redblacks live from Winnipeg’s Investors Group Field on Sunday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. ET, live on TSN, TSN GO, and TSN Radio’s Grey Cup Radio Network presented by Mark’s. TSN’s live coverage begins with the network’s five-hour pre-game show, GREY CUP SUNDAY, at 1 p.m. ET.

 

TSN’s exclusive live coverage of the 103rd GREY CUP presented by Shaw is available for live streaming and on-demand viewing to TSN subscribers via TSN GO. RDS delivers live French-language coverage beginning at 5 p.m. ET. TSN’s coverage of the game will also air live on ESPN2 in the United States.

Press Release: Bell Media and HBO Sign Historic Agreement Bringing Canadians Unprecedented Access to HBO Programming

TORONTO and NEW YORK (November 19, 2015) – Bell Media, Canada’s leading broadcaster, and HBO, the world’s most successful pay TV service, announced today an unprecedented agreement in which Bell Media will become the exclusive Canadian home of all HBO programming on all subscription platforms into the next decade.

Under the comprehensive, long-term agreement, the first of its kind for HBO in Canada, Bell Media will have the ability to deliver current-season, past-season, and library HBO programming exclusively on its linear, on-demand, and over-the-top (OTT) platforms in English and French. The agreement also marks the first time HBO has granted exclusive subscription video on demand (SVOD) rights for first-run programming throughout Canada. As a result, Bell Media will have the flexibility to provide current HBO content such as GAME OF THRONES, GIRLS, and VEEP over-the-top in Canada on its platforms. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BCE announced today that Bell Media will expand The Movie Network into a national pay TV service and become the sole operator of HBO Canada. As a result, all HBO content will be delivered nationwide by one company for the first time ever in Canada. French-language HBO programming will continue to be seen on Bell Media’s Super Écran pay service.

Press Release: Jason Momoa to Star in Discovery Canada’s Unprecedented New Drama FRONTIER; Production Now Underway

TORONTO (November 16, 2015) – Discovery Canada announced today that Jason Momoa (GAME OF THRONES, Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice) will lead the international cast for its ambitious new original Canadian scripted series, FRONTIER. Commissioned by Discovery Canada earlier this year and shooting in beautifully vivid 4K UHD, production is now underway in Canada and the U.K. on the thrilling and richly layered premium drama, the first original scripted series in Discovery Canada history. Created by Rob Blackie and Peter Blackie, the six-episode, one-hour drama is produced by leading Canadian independent producers Take the Shot Productions, and Factory Backwards, and will be seen around the world via international broadcast partner Netflix.

Alun Armstrong (NEW TRICKS, Braveheart), Landon Liboiron (HEMLOCK GROVE, DEGRASSI), Zoe Boyle (DOWNTON ABBEY, SONS OF ANARCHY), and Allan Hawco (REPUBLIC OF DOYLE), round out the international cast. The series also introduces Canadian newcomer, Jessica Matten.

Cinematic in scope, FRONTIER will be guided by celebrated filmmaker Brad Peyton (San Andreas, Incarnate, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island), who will direct the first two one-hour episodes of the series.
