Celebrate Canada’s 148th birthday live from Parliament Hill with Chief Correspondent of CBC News, Peter Mansbridge, beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET on CBC TV, CBC News Network and CBCNews.ca. Mansbridge will be joined across Canada this year from Newfoundland with Heather Hiscox to Paul Hunter in Vancouver. For the first time, CBC brings Canadians Canada Day celebrations from within the Arctic Circle in Inuvik. Back on the ground in Ottawa, Mansbridge leads his team including; Rosemary Barton and Jelena Adzic reporting on the ceremonial and concert events on Parliament Hill. Céline Galipeau will host the show live at 12 p.m. ET on ICI Radio-Canada Télé, ICI RDI and ICI.Radio-Canada.ca and be joined by Emmanuelle Latraverse and Geneviève Garon to report on the events.
The evening concert, Canada Day in the Capital (La fete du Canada dans la capitale), will be televised on CBC-TV, ICI Radio-Canada Télé and ICI.Radio-Canada.ca at 9 p.m. (11 p.m. AT/11:30 NT), featuring performances from some of Canada’s top musical acts, including Kiesza, MAGIC!, Marc Dupré, Andee, Gord Bamford, Karim Ouellet, Jonas & The Massive Attraction, Cassidy Mann and Francesco Yates. The concert will be broadcast in its entirety live on CBC Radio 2 with host Nana aba Duncan (Radio 2 Top 20) beginning at 8 p.m. (9 p.m. AT/9:30 p.m. NT) and on ICI Musique beginning at 10:00 p.m. CBC.ca/CanadaCelebrates will also live stream the entire concert.
On ICI Radio-Canada Première, Daniel Mathieu will host Le Canada en fête 2015, a national two-hour Radio show aired at 12:06 p.m. from Ottawa. The show will present moments of the ceremonial and interviews with performing artists Jonas, Marc Dupré and Andee.
