The Women’s World Cup is still drawing in impressive ratings (image via Bell Media)

After digging into the Stanley Cup Finals the week before, the Women’s World Cup is still tearing things up in the ratings. Sunday’s game between Canada and Switzerland drew 2.6 million viewers, and if you don’t quite understand how astronomical those numbers are, just keep in mind that 2.6 million is only 20,000 short of the audience of the deciding game of the Stanley Cup Finals on June 15. Yeah, the Women’s World Cup is that big now. Wild stuff, eh?

Not to be outdone, the Jays are still continuing to do well in the ratings, too. Friday’s Jays-Orioles game drew over a million viewers on Sportsnet, while the games on Saturday and Sunday both drew over 800,000 viewers. Those numbers probably have to do with the Jays’ impressive performance lately. Hopefully they’ll be able to keep it up.

Yep, everything is fine and dandy in sportsland, but for more on the weekend’s top sports, check out my charts below and visit Yahoo Sports Canada at the source link.
