Canadian TV Ratings: May 4-10, 2015

May is a bittersweet time of year. While the warmer weather is now here, we unfortunately have to say adios to a bunch of our favourite shows from the past TV season.

Gotham finished its first season on May 4, and it naturally saw a jump in the ratings compared to the previous week’s episode. The season finale drew nearly 1.8 million viewers on CTV and was the day’s third most-watched show.

Criminal Minds called it a season on Wednesday, May 6. It was the day’s second most-watched show right behind Survivor. The Criminal Minds season finale drew 2,078,000 viewers also on CTV.

The following day saw the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, arguably the country’s favourite show. “The Commitment Determination” drew nearly 3.5 million viewers and was well above the week’s second most-watched TV program, Castle, with its Saturday Night Live-inspired episode “Dead from New York.”

Hawaii Five-O doubled up with two episodes on May 8 with the last of the two serving as the show’s season finale. The episode airing in its regular time-slot was the day’s most-watched show, while the second episode didn’t chart on Friday’s chart below. It did, however, make Numeris’ chart with 1,653,000 viewers.

Once Upon a Time aired a two-hour season finale on May 10, and it drew just over 1.4 million viewers.

Many of the country’s other top shows were just about wrapping up for the season. The week of May 4 saw the season’s penultimate episodes for Castle, NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans and a few other favourites.
