TORONTO (April 2, 2015) – On Wednesday, April 29, Bell Media celebrates National Canadian Film Day with cross-channel airings of some of the best in Canadian cinema. From Space, to Bravo, to The Movie Network, the multi-channel event honours more than 30 Canadian feature films across eight networks. All of the films presented on April 29 have been backed by Bell Media through various levels of support, including story optioning, script development, pre-licensing, equity investment, acquisition, exhibition, and/or promotion.

Bell Media’s National Canadian Film Day programming includes Sarah Polley’s 2008 Genie Award-winning and Academy Award®-nominated Away From Her (9 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT on Bravo), The Grand Seduction (9 p.m. ET on The Movie Network) starring 2015 Canadian Screen Award- winner Gordon Pinsent, and the winner of multiple Canadian Screen Awards in 2014, Gabrielle (9:30 p.m. ET on MFun!).
