TORONTO – TSN kicked off the 2015 MLS season with a record audience tuning in to Saturday’s matchup between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Toronto FC. Overnight data from Numeris (BBM Canada) confirms an average audience of 353,000 viewers tuned in to see the all-Canadian matchup, making it the most-watched MLS game in TSN history.

Overall, 1.9 million unique viewers tuned in to MLS ON TSN to watch some or all of the network’s exclusive coverage of the game, which featured the return of a strong Whitecaps FC squad and the debut of a revamped Toronto FC team, featuring prized off-season signings Jozy Altidore, who scored twice, and Sebastian Giovinco, who provided an assist on Altidore’s opening goal, in TFC’s 3-1 victory at a sold out BC Place in Vancouver.
