Historia has a revamped look that features the iconic golden “H” of the HISTORY brand as its new logo! By partnering with this globally renowned brand and showcasing larger-than-life figures, the channel links the world of today to our roots in the past with an entertaining, surprising and fresh approach. In this way, Historia offers its two million subscribers a unique twist on history-themed content.
This new branding follows the recent signing of an agreement with A+E Networks that provides the Historia channel with special access to its content. “We’re thrilled to partner with one of the most prestigious brands in the television business, which is broadcast in over 180 countries. The agreement will enhance our TV programming with shows that Historia viewers are sure to love! These will be added to our original Quebec-produced content, for which we have a number of new projects in the pipeline,” said a delighted Mario Cecchini, president of Corus Media.
Historia already broadcasts a number of series from the HISTORY catalogue, including L’atelier de restauration, Pawn stars: prêteurs sur gages, Pawn stars: prêteurs cajuns and Fous des bolides, all of which rank among the channel’s top ten most-watched shows.

This spring, Historia will offer even more surprise and entertainment. “Gearheads” will get their fill with the dynamic new 30 minute version of Légendes de la route with José Gaudet. This popular original production traces the evolution of legendary cars by presenting the brands and models that have shaped automotive history. Local collectors allow viewers to step inside their garages and admire dream machines such as Jaguars, Ferraris and Porsches. The season premiere will also feature a first for Quebec—a race between a Corvette and a helicopter! Airs Mondays at 8 p.m., starting March 9.

Produced by the BBC, L’histoiredumonde pays tribute to the ingenuity and adaptability of humankind, providing a stunning voyage through time narrated by historian Franck Ferrand. Combining CGI scenes with dramatizations, it shows how the great civilizations developed, transporting viewers to Egypt’s pyramids, the Taj Mahal in India, the Colosseum in Italy and the Nazca city of Cahuachi in Peru. Airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m., starting March 10.
