TORONTO, March 2, 2015 – When selling a house, it takes more than a fresh coat of paint to realize its true financial potential.  In Open House Overhaul, sponsored by IKEA, designer Sam Pynn (Pure Design, Summer Home) and her burly crew are on a mission to overhaul houses on the real estate market in order to sell fast and make top dollar.  Open House Overhaul premieres Monday, March 30th with back-to-back episodes starting at 10pm ET/PT on HGTV Canada.

From heinous wallpaper to outdated paint colours and stained couches, some sellers show their properties in states that undermine their value.  Sam and her crew ambush an unsuspecting seller poised to show their home and offer to overhaul it to increase its value in time for their next open house.  Whether the solution is a quick bathroom facelift, a full kitchen gut job, or simple but effective staging, Sam’s work will inspire viewers and blow buyers away.
