Canadian TV Ratings: January 19-25, 2015

CTV’s Castle managed to become the most-watched program for the week of Jan. 19 with over 2.5 million tuning in on Monday. Actually, CTV captured nine of the top 10 programs for the week with a combination of old, tired shows like CSI, Criminal Minds and The Big Bang Theory and newer superhero shows like Gotham, Arrow and The Flash.

CBC’s NHL All-Star Skills Competition was the week’s top non-CTV program, taking 10th place for the week and the top spot for Saturday. The All-Star Game itself underwhelmed on Sunday. It drew just 1,476,000 to lose out to two CSI episodes that night and was only the 16th most-watched program of the week. If you’ve been paying close attention, you may have noticed that the final tally for the All-Star Game is actually lower than what was initially estimated for the overnight numbers a while ago. That’s just salt in the wound for Rogers as they’ve been really disappointed with some of the NHL ratings they’ve been getting lately to say the least.

Anyway, check out my charts below for more on the week’s top programs, and as always, visit Numeris at the source link for the top 30 programs of the week. The CBC managed to snag six spots, while The Big Bang Theory managed to take four. (Crazy, isn’t it?)
