Canadian TV Ratings: December 1-7, 2014

With Christmas drawing nearer, many shows for the week of Dec. 1 went into rerun mode or disappeared from the networks’ schedules entirely. Considering that, you might notice a few oddities in the week’s ratings.

Perhaps most notably, The Flash, a brand-new show for this season (and an import from the struggling US network The CW), managed to become the week’s most-watched program. Nearly 2.5 million tuned in on Tuesday, Dec. 2 to catch the superhero series. Also, surprisingly, The Big Bang Theory only managed to attract 2,219,000 to rank as the fifth most-watched program of the week. Typically, the CTV comedy ranks higher than that even if the week’s episode was a rerun. Castle, Survivor and Arrow (another import from The CW) all attracted more viewers than The Big Bang Theory
