Canadian TV Ratings [Sports]: November 21-23, 2014

The Raptors managed to top Friday (logo via Wikimedia)

There’s finally some good ratings news for the Raptors. Friday’s Raps/Bucks game managed to be the day’s most watched sporting event. It gets even better—the Raps topped not one, but two NHL games. They didn’t just manage to top them, but did so by a decent margin to boot—roughly 200,000 viewers.

However, when you look at the nitty-gritty of the numbers, things still aren’t very rosy. Friday’s Raptors game only attracted 365,000 on TSN, which is nowhere near the 1,505,000 TSN’s top game for the weekend drew. However, to be fair, that was a CFL playoff match and that’s like comparing apples and oranges.

Also, both NHL games that managed to make Friday’s chart didn’t have quite as much exposure as the Raptors match. While the Raptors game aired across TSN (with the exception of TSN2), the Islanders/Penguins game aired on Sportsnet One, while the Devils/Oilers match only aired on Sportsnet West.

As always, for more on the weekend’s top sports, check out the charts below, and be sure to visit Yahoo! Sports at the source link.

*This maybe inaccurate as a Rogers press release said Saturday’s Devils/Canucks game aired on Sportsnet while CBC aired a Blackhawks/Oilers game instead
