Canadian TV Ratings: October 27-November 2, 2014

Well, this was the week that The Big Bang Theory, the nation’s biggest show, moved from Monday back to its familiar home on Thursday nights. That of course brought with it a few ups and downs.

With The Big Bang Theory out of the picture, Castle became Monday’s most watched show despite shedding 36,000 viewers from last week. Without the major lead in provided by an original Big Bang, Gotham sank below the two million viewer mark to only 1,981,000 to take third place for the night behind Global’s Blacklist.

Over on Thursday, The Big Bang Theory was tops for the night and the week on a whole (of course) with 4,414,000 watching, but that viewership wasn’t enough to help prop up CTV for the rest of the night. The Millers, which immediately followed The Big Bang Theory, gathered a rather weak 1,416,000, which is down dramatically from the 4,414,000 that Big Bang pulled in. Two and a Half Men did okay at 9 p.m. with 2,009,000 tuning in, but by the time The McCarthys came on, CTV’s audience fell down to 1,474,000. That’s just a hair better than The Millers, which aired days before out of simulcast on CBS.

It also looks like How To Get Away With Murder suffered significantly because of the return of comedy and Elementary on Thursday nights. It dipped to a viewership of only 1,919,000, not even high enough to claim third place for the day. (That title goes to Global’s Bones.)
