(Toronto, Canada) October 8, 2014 – Blue Ant Media announces their commitment to producing and distributing 200 hours of premium 4K nature and wildlife content annually. Over 150 hours of the first year’s slate is currently in production and will be available beginning spring 2015. Building on the success of the Canadian premium broadcast network Oasis, this stunning nature and wildlife programming is being developed through a combination of in-house production and partnerships with key global content creators.
“The nature and wildlife categories are ideally suited to 4k production,” said Raja Khanna, CEO, TV & Digital, Blue Ant Media. “This commitment will position Blue Ant as one of the leading creators in these genres globally.”
In support of this venture, Blue Ant Media is partnering with top non-fiction content companies Off The Fence and Digital Crossing who both have a strong history of producing exceptional, unscripted natural history programming. New 4K titles include Nomads of the Serengeti, Lewa Diaries, Africa’s Wildlife Icons, Land of Primates, and Nature’s Extremes.
