September 29, 2014, Winnipeg, Manitoba – APTN National News has announced it’s taking its motto – news that not only informs, but inspires – one step further. APTN InFocus, Face to Face, Nation to Nation, and Laughing Drum will be stand-alone news shows and replace the second half-hour of the network’s national newscast. The APTN National News fall season kicks off on Tuesday, October 7, 2014.
The new format of APTN National News, along with the return of APTN Investigates, is set to debut this fall and will bring a 360-degree perspective on Aboriginal issues – six nights a week. In-depth analysis of news stories, sit down interviews focusing on Indigenous issues, political perspectives from Parliament Hill and even a panel of comedians discussing current affairs are to be expected.
