TORONTO (August 20, 2014) – CTV announced today the launch of the 44th season of QUESTION PERIOD, premiering Sunday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. ET on CTV and CTV GO, once again hosted by CTV News’ Robert Fife, the multiple award-winning political reporter and one of the country’s foremost Parliament Hill journalists. QUESTION PERIOD is Canada’s weekly destination for in-depth and insightful discussion on Canadian politics, with a unique look at the agenda for the upcoming week. Fife invites viewers behind the walls of parliament, lending his insider knowledge and authoritative analysis to the intricacies of Canada’s political scene and the issues that affect all Canadians.

Based in Ottawa, Fife is also CTV News’ Ottawa Bureau Chief, as well as Executive Producer of both QUESTION PERIOD and CTV’s daily political show, POWER PLAY WITH DON MARTIN. With more than 35 years covering national politics, Fife continues to uphold his longstanding track record of breaking some of Canada’s biggest political stories, including uncovering the recent Canadian Senate expense scandal. His tireless work breaking the scandal earned him some of the highest accolades in professional journalism, including the Don McGillivray Award for Investigative Journalism, top prize among all recipients in the investigative categories of the 2013 Canadian Association of Journalists (CAJ) Awards, handed out this past May. In addition, he was honoured with CAJ awards in the “Open Broadcast News” and “Scoop” categories.
